Unlike most adventure bikes currently on the market, the CF-Moto 450MT / Ibex 450 comes from the factory with the rear luggage rack. The OEM rack can be used to strap small tail bags, attach top cases and even has incorporated passenger grab handles. So, why design and manufacture another one?
Turns out the OEM rack is biased toward pavement riding and traditional luggage setup with side racks and hard cases or panniers. Try fitting a rack-less luggage system like the Mosko Moto Reckless 40 or 80, Kriega OS-Base, Enduristan Blizzard, or Giant Loop Great Basin and the fit just isn’t right. The integrated grab handles are simply too wide, preventing rack-less systems from mounting properly. For off-road riders and those who prefer rack-less luggage, a different solution is needed.
Now that we understand why a different solution is needed, let’s take a closer look at the design behind the Perun Moto CF-Moto 450MT / Ibex Top luggage rack.
The original mounting points beneath the seat and on the tail are solid, and we make use of them as well. A pair of 5 mm stainless steel side brackets blend seamlessly with the bike’s lines and provide robust support for the aluminum-magnesium alloy top plate.
Main goal of our rack is to provide various strapping points and to keep center of gravity low. Top plate sits as close to the bike as possible, while still enabling easy routing of the straps.
However, we're aware that some riders might prefer to mount the top plate in line with the stock seat. Additional set of spacers, which is included in the hardware pack, enables just that. To help with weight centralization, we prefer low mounting position.
Before the rack moved beyond the prototyping stage, we test-fitted "all" major rack-less luggage systems on the market. These tests directly influenced the position, size, and angle of every slot and opening. Each hole on the rack serves a clear purpose.
The rack is also compatible with The Gnoblin from Mosko moto. Three pre-drilled holes make installation simple and allow for fine-tuning of the mounting position.
Dedicated holes for Kriega OS-Rack Loops make their installation quick and easy. Whether you’re using Kriega’s Drypacks or the OS-Base system (the Tenere 700 version fits perfectly), the setup is simple and secure.
Virtually all edges on the rack, including the stainless steel side brackets, are chamfered. This not only improves strap longevity but also gives the rack a clean, finished look.
Speaking of the looks, the rack is finished in top of the line anodized-look matte dark grey powder coat. The color blend beautifully with both current color schemes of the 450MT.
The rack is compatible with Givi / Kappa Monokey and SW-Motech top cases. Top case mounting hardware (not included with the rack) attaches directly onto the top plate. There is no need for additional adapter plates.
Every detail of the Perun Moto CF-Moto 450MT / Ibex Top luggage rack was designed with real-world use in mind — from the carefully placed slots and chamfered edges to the durable finish and versatile mounting options. Whether you prefer rack-less luggage for off-road adventures or a top case for daily commuting, this rack offers a solid, lightweight, and elegant foundation for any setup.
