SW-Motech Trax ADV 38l Top Case on the CF-Moto 450MT

The CF-Moto 450MT makes for a great commuter bike: affordable, maneuverable, low seat height and good-looking (always a matter of personal taste). Having a hard top case that can be locked is super convenient for this kind of use.

This is why we designed our Top luggage rack for CF-Moto 450MT to be compatible with SW-Motech and Givi Monokey top cases. In one of our previous ARTICLES we showed the fit of Givi Trekker top case. Today, we'll show how the SW-Motech Trax ADV 38l Top case looks and works on a 450MT.

The top case mounting hardware, which needs to be obtained separately, installs directly onto the rack. This eliminates the need for an adapter plate and keeps the rack’s slots usable for days when the top case isn’t mounted. For detailed installation instructions, please see Section III HERE.

With the top case installed, the slots on the front and sides of the rack remain accessible. Perfect for strapping something to the back seat.

Speaking of the back seat, there’s still enough room for a pillion to sit comfortably. However, this isn’t a recommended setup for two-up touring. Keep in mind that our rack is primarily designed for rack-less luggage systems and off-road riding, so a top case sits slightly further forward than it does on more road-oriented racks (such as the OEM version).

We consider top cases to be road-only accessories, and recommend keeping the load under 5 kilograms.
