I. Installation of the rack
The top rack can be installed in two different heights. The instructions show the steps for installation in the low position, with notes indicating the differences for high-position installation. Switching from low to high position can easily be done even after the rack is mounted on the bike.
1. Remove the seat.
2. Remove four bolts marked in red and remove the plastic cover of OEM tail rack.
3. Undo the bolts marked below and remove the OEM tail rack. Clean threaded holes from debris if necessary. Keep the two front bolts at hand as they will be re-used.
4. Pre-assemble the Top rack on a flat surface. Insert M6 countersunk bolts through holes marked with blue circles. M6x25 bolts go to the front, M6x20 go the back.
*NOTE FOR INSTALLATION IN HIGH POSITION
Use M6x35 bolts in the front (and don't use the flat washers), M6x25 bolts in the rear.
5. Flip the top plate upside-down. Place the two 8mm spacers (the shortest ones) onto the bolts in front. Align with Side supports. Use M6 flat washers and M6 safety nuts on the underside. Tighten loosely, by hand.
*NOTE FOR INSTALLATION IN HIGH POSITION
Use 18mm spacers in front and 8mm spacers in the back.
6. Place 9mm spacers in position marked below. Rest the luggage rack assembly on rear of the bike. Use M8x30 countersunk bolts and M8 3D countersunk washers. Tighten by hand.
7. Re-use two OEM M8 bolts to secure front of the rack assembly. Tighten by hand for now.
8. Make sure everything lines up and tighten the bolts to torque values shown in photo below. Tighten the M8 bolts first.
9. Reinstall the seat. After a few rides check all bolts and re-tighten if necessary.

IA. Switching the top plate from low to high position
1. Remove the seat.
2. Undo the four bolts marked below and remove the top plate.
3. Move 8mm spacers to the back of side supports. Place 18mm spacers into the front.
4. Reposition the top plate. Use M6x25 bolts, flat washers and safety nuts in the rear. Use M6x35 bolts and safety nuts (without flat washers, to provide more clearance) in the front. Tighten all M6 bolts to 6-7Nm.
*TIP
It might be difficult to access and hold front nuts in place. Use a hex wrench, screwdriver or similar (make sure it's not a magnetic one) to position the nut correctly before top plate is installed. When the bolt is inserted it will engage the threads. After that it's easy to use 10mm wrench to hold the bolt in place.
5. Reinstall the seat.

II. Installation of Givi/Kappa Monokey Top case
Road only use, 5 kg max (inside the top case).
1. Following hardware is needed and it can be purchased from Givi dealers.
Z2710 (rubber grommets)

Also, all aforementioned hardware, except Z2710 grommets, are sold by Givi as a kit - Givi Z2309R
3. Position the mushroom shaped parts in the marked locations.
IMPORTANT: Insert M6 small washer under each mushroom shaped part. Place the washer in the smaller circular pocket, as shown bellow.
Insert M6x30 countersunk bolt from above and use a washer and a safety nut on the underside.
4. Insert rubber grommets as shown bellow. Make sure the rubber grommets are properly seated. Use a drop of super glue to make sure grommets will stay in place.
5. Install the pyramid shaped part as shown bellow.
Cavity on the pyramid shaped part should face forward. Use small M6 washers and M6x16 button head bolts on the underside.
6. Install Givi or Kappa Monokey top case. Make sure everything clicks in place. Check if top box is firm and secure.
