UPDATE JULY 2024 - we updated the design of our Heel guards; updated Heel guards now have unique quick-release feature on the upper slot and all inner edges are completely rounded. Everything from this blog posts relates to the new Heel guards too.

Mosko moto Reckless 80 has been on the market for a while now. It's a proven setup, time after time. Newest iteration, Reckless 80 V4.0, brings some improvements over its predecessors. Most noticeably, the harness itself is now made of stiffer composite material. At the same time it's lighter than previous versions.

The bike is equipped with Perun moto 2019+ KTM 690 Luggage rack, Extension plate and Heel guards which offer secure mounting points. Unsurprisingly, fit on the KTM 690 Enduro is excellent. The bags are shown here with optional Mosko moto Molle pouch - large. Keep in mind that Molle pouches will contact the rider during active riding (standing and leaning backwards, on steep downhills).

Extension plate has slots which provide optimal tie-points for upper straps. Installation of the Reckless 80 V4.0 is easy and quick. Using the straps enables more flexibility in fore-aft positioning of the bags then using a Gnoblin mount, but more about that later.

Legs of the harness are installed in position 4, a perfect fit for 690.

Harness of the Reckless 80 has an opening for fuel filler cap so there's no need to remove it for refueling. Top bag, under the Beaver tail, will have to be removed, obviously.

Lower straps are conveniently attached to Heel guards.

The bags rest partially on the side plastics. Stiffness of the harness is ensuring that there's practically no chance of bags interfering with the swingarm or rear wheel. Yes, the plastics might get scratched over time, even though the bottom of the harness is covered with soft rubbery foam. Use of a self adhesive protection film is advised if scratches bother you. There is also a possibility that rubbery foam might get slightly damaged where it contacts hard surfaces of the bike or rack, but it shouldn't concern you - it is made for that.

Additionally, bottom of the bags isn't touching the silencer. Use of the heat shield still might be a good idea, just as an added precaution.

Here's a short video showing how Reckless 80 fits the KTM 690:

Even though our Luggage rack and Extension plate were designed before Mosko moto Gnoblin came into existence, it's still possible to use the Gnoblin. Depending on where you want to position Reckless 80, place the Gnoblin in one of the central slots on the Luggage rack. Slots on the rack are a bit wider than standard M6 washer (included with Gnoblin). To provide adequate mounting point use wide M6 flat washer instead of the standard one. To compensate for thickness of the Extension plate, use three wide M6 washers on top side of the rack. Longer bolt, M6x25, is needed. You should be able to source additional hardware in any decent hardware store, local or online.

The Gnoblin can easily be installed on the harness. From my experience, placing it in forwardmost position gives the best results.

If you are not using our Luggage rack without the Extension plate, Reckless 80 can still be easily installed. In this case we're recommending use of the Gnoblin. One wide M6 washer on the underside is still needed, three wide M6 washers and longer bolt are optional.

Mounted like this, Reckless 80 V4.0 sits a bit closer to the silencer (still not touching it though). Heat shield is advisable for added peace of mind.

Using straps instead of the Gnoblin is possible but not ideal. Due to relatively small dimensions of the Luggage rack, fore-aft positioning of the Reckless 80 is limited and the bags might sit further forward than wanted.
