Simple luggage is often the best luggage. Take a Kriega US-20 Drypack, mount it onto Perun moto BMW F900GS Top luggage rack and you're good to go.
Kriega's Drypack bags come with various straps so they can be installed on a wide range of bikes. In order to provide the best possible fit, our luggage rack comes with pre-drilled holes for Kriega OS-Rack loops. These are bolted to the underside of the rack, leaving the entire top surface completely flat.
Note that I'm using countersunk bolts to mount OS-Rack loops. These have to be purchased separately in local hardware store.
Once the OS-Rack loops are on, mounting the US-20 Drypack is quick. Simply hook G-hook straps onto OS-Rack loops, clip the other end into buckles on the bag and tighten everything up.
Use a drop of mild thread locking agent (that's what I've done here) or a safety nut on the underside of each OS-Rack loop to prevent them from coming undone.
I mostly use the US-20 as a day pack. After loading it with first aid kit, tire repair kit, rain gear and some snacks, there is plenty of room left. I usually have my camera bag in there (dSLR camera with two additional lenses, in a relatively large shoulder bag), but that could easily be spare tubes, extra clothing layers or anything else. 20l is enough capacity to pack for a lightweight weekend ride.
The bag is waterproof which gives me that peace of mind. Last thing I want when riding in rainy conditions is to worry about stuff getting wet.
Kriega Drypacks are modular and come with several attachment points. This means it is possible to combine several bags when you need more storage space. Not something I have done personally, but a nice option to have.
