Tail bags come in many different shapes and forms. However, only a couple of them have lockable quick release mounting. Givi Canyon 40l tail bag definitely falls into that category.
This bag has an integrated Monokey mounting plate, meaning it mounts just like a regular top case. To install it onto Husqvarna 701 Enduro a luggage rack is needed. Perun moto Extension plate mounts onto our Luggage rack and comes with pre-drilled holes for installation of necessary Monokey hardware. For detailed installation instructions please click HERE (Section III).
As can be seen in the above photo, Monokey hardware mounts directly to our Extension plate. This negates the need for an adapter plate, resulting in lower profile and less weight.
The bag has roll closures at both ends which makes the size adjustable. For easier access to the stuff inside the bag, there is a large zippered opening under the top flap.
Givi Canyon is, IMHO, a great everyday bag, best suited for road riding and very light off-road duties. Personally, I would be hesitant to use it for more demanding off-road riding where it's expected to drop the bike. When fully loaded, the bag is wider than the 701 tail. This means it will contact the ground if/when the bike goes down and that force will get transferred to the mounting system. Also, the way it is connected to the bike makes it more related to top cases then to soft luggage, in terms how the weight is distributed. So using it loaded with heavy things, off-road, is not advisable.
A couple more photos from various angles, to give you an idea how the bag fits Husqvarna 701 Enduro.
