Our product line for the BMW F900GS is crafted with a focus on rack-less soft luggage solutions. The Perun Moto BMW F900GS Top Luggage Rack offers smooth, ideally positioned slots for upper strap attachment, while the Tie-down Brackets serve as excellent lower tie-down points.
This setup pairs seamlessly with many popular rack-less systems. Here are some photos showcasing Enduristan Blizzard XL bags mounted on this configuration.
The Top Luggage Rack features smooth slots, allowing secure placement of upper straps. There are multiple ways to secure the bags, but I prefer using a strap with hooks. For me, this is the quickest and most convenient way of mounting these bags. It's expectable that, over time, hooks will wear trough the powder coating of the Top rack.
Installation with a single upper strap is also possible but takes more time.
Lower straps attach securely to our Tie-down brackets. These have extremely low profile and will certainly be out of the rider's way.
In this configuration, the bags are positioned as far forward as possible without impeding the rider, whether sitting or standing. This enhances mass centralization and significantly improves the bike's handling. If needed, the bags can easily moved further back.
Additionally, this setup ensures that the bags do not touch the silencer. A heat shield is included for added peace of mind. Note that the bags are shown without optional bottle holders. When installed, bottle holder will rest on the heat shield.
Rear end of the F900GS offers enough support for the bags. They rest on the side panels and have very little bounce. I have never felt the need for additional side supports.
A key advantage of this setup is its compact width, which remains considerably narrower than the handlebars.
At first, the bags may seem a bit complex due to the numerous straps, but once configured properly, installation and removal are straightforward. The fit is excellent, and the bags are very secure.
The large openings provide easy access to the side pockets.
Bottle holders, sold separately, are a highly useful addition. I recommend getting them.
This short video gives a nice overview of fitment and installation details.
