One of the biggest improvements of the second generation of our Top luggage rack for the Yamaha Tenere 700 is the added compatibility with the Mosko moto's Gnoblin quick mounting system for their lineup of Reckless bags. In recent months we have gotten quite fond of using the Gnoblin instead of the straps. Let's have a look at how it works with Mosko moto Reckless 40.
First-time installation of the Gnoblin hardware onto our rack and the Reckless 40 harness will probably take around 5-10 minutes. It's a simple bolt-on process which doesn't require any special skills or tools.
When it comes to positioning, the rack offers three pre-drilled holes for the Gnoblin button. Since I like placing the bags as far forward as possible, the Gnoblin is inserted into the front hole. Using the middle one will also work, for people who prefer to move bags a bit further back.

Adding spacers between the Gnoblin button and the rack completely transformed the user experience when mounting any of their Reckless bags. The spacers are now coming with the Gnoblin, but if you have an older set just use a stack of flat washers, around 10mm tall, to experience the same benefit.
Composite harness of the R40 offers three different positions for the Gnoblin, for further fine tuning of the bags' placement. I have it setup in middle position.

For those with a keen eye, the photo above shows the Reckless 40 mounted on a different bike.
With the Gnoblin hardware installed on the rack and the harness, it takes just seconds to mount the Reckless 40 onto the bike. Align everything on bike's tail and push the bags forward until Gnoblin click into place.

Securing the lower straps onto our Tie-down brackets is a breeze. The new, Gen 2, Tie-down brackets feature a unique C-Hook quick release slot. This allows the strap to be attached without having to thread it trough the slot or buckle each time. Simply hook it up and tighten.

Loose strap ends can be secured by integrated velcro loops, as show in the photo above. To maximize the mounting speed, I recommend to cut these straps to length. Just make sure you leave enough free length.

With this, the Reckless 40 is securely mounted on the T700. The fit is exceptional. Side holsters rest on the bike's panels which provide all the stability you can ask for.

Underside of the harness just barely touches front edges of our rack. There is no real weight resting here, and that's what the protection foam is there for.

Good thing with mounting the bags in forward position is that it leaves large portion of Perun moto rack free. This comes in handy if there's need to strap a tent or a small tail bag.

Grab handles on bike's tail remain fully accessible.

As can be seen from the photo above, there is plenty of clearance between the RHS bag and stock silencer. We never had a chance to test any of the high mounting exhaust options so can't really say how the combo will work. Just keep in mind that Gen 2 of our Tie-down brackets can interfere with high-mounting exhausts. Read more in THIS ARTICLE.
This setup remains narrower than the handlebars. Side bags remain largely tucked behind riders' legs.

Mosko moto Reckless 40 is a good luggage choice for weekend trips, or even minimalist longer travels. Paired with the Gnoblin quick mounting system, Perun moto Top luggage rack Gen2 and Tie-down brackets Gen 2 it installs surprisingly quickly without any compromises in fit or stability.
