Kriega T700 OS-base on Aprilia Tuareg 660
It's not a secret that we are fans of Kriega OS-base systems. Unfortunately, at this moment (October 2023) Kriega still don't offer Tuareg specific OS-base.
When we received the Tuareg, we quickly realized that Kriega T700 OS-base fits great. Only problem was where to secure upper straps. So, we added holes for our Kriega mount on the side supports for our Aprilia Tuareg 660 Top luggage rack.
With this simple add-on, mounting of Kriega T700 OS-base on Aprilia Tuareg is super-easy.
Just pull the lower straps through passenger foot peg brackets...
...hook the upper straps to the Perun moto Kriega mount bolted to the rack and tighten.
Mounted like this, there is plenty of room for the rider.
And the OS-base sits on the side plastics entirely.
Our favorite bags for this setup are OS-18 Adventure packs.
As for all rack-less systems, use of heat shield is necessary.
We thoroughly tested this system and it works great. Go for it.

Hi John.
At the time of writing this article, the Tuareg specific OS base was not yet available. Since it turned out that Tenere 700 base works so well, we never felt the need to get the Tuareg base So I really don’t have any first-hand experience with it.
Looking at the photos from Kriega website, Tuareg OS-Base will work with our top rack just fine. What they call “alloy mounts” ca be bolted to the side supports of our rack (same way as our Kriega mount add-ons are mounted in photos in this article). Most likely, you will have to source shorter bolts and some nuts.
Tuareg OS-base will also work without our luggage rack. Tenere 700 base CAN’T be mounted without the top rack.
Just keep in mind that Kriega alloy mounts will stick a bit further to the sides. Perun moto Kriega mount add-ons are shorter and blend better with the bike (but they have to be ordered separately).
