Update August 2023 - we updated the side supports of our Top luggage rack. New side supports are now compatible with Ducati Aux rear fuel tank. All info from this blog post is still accurate, as only side supports are changed - everything else remained the same.

    ---

Almost all Perun moto rear top racks can accept Givi Monokey and SW-Motech top cases. However, some riders have unique needs and they ask for a quick disconnect plate, so the can bolt their own "top box" on it, usually a Pelicase (or similar) for video gear.

SW-Motech has an interesting product line call SysBags. Basically, four pucks are installed on the rear top rack or on the pannier racks. Rigid adapter plate with quick disconnect system can be attached to these pucks. And soft bag can be bolted onto the adapter plate. So you get very nice soft bag with rigid bottom and quick disconnect system, which can be used on the rear top rack or on the SW-Motech pannier racks.

SysBag 30 system works great with all Perun moto rear top racks which support SW-Motech top cases.

All you need to get is the adapter kit from SW-Motech, product number SYS.00.001.13100.

If Perun moto rear top rack supports SW-Motech top cases, like the Ducati DesertX Top luggage rack shown in this blog, there are predrilled holes on the rack.

Check SW-Motech instructions and install the adapter kit in these holes.

Perun moto racks are usually 6 mm thick, so these bolts work best. These are supplied with SW-Motech adapter kit.

Note the silver adapter in the left rear position on the photos above and below. SysBag sets (or just adapter plates) come in LHS and RHS version. For use on the top rack, it is all the same, just install the silver adapter left or right, depending on the plate you have.

Once this is done, all is set for SysBag 30 system.

If you plan to use the SysBag 30 bag, you need to bolt the bag onto the adapter quick-disconnect plate.

And it is ready for use.

Quick-disconnect system works great, plate slides into the place with a noticeable click and stays in place.

What is even more interesting to some riders is a fact that you can buy adapter quick-disconnect plate on its own - SysBag30 Adapter plate. Shown below mounted on the bike, without the bag.

This is great, as you can easily bolt the Pelicase or some other rigid box onto the SW-Motech adapter plate and get your own quick disconnect system.

It would be even better if SW-Motech would come out with a Adapter plate with more slots on the perimeter, which would allow mounting/strapping a wide variety of different soft bags on the adapter plate.

For my commuting needs, SW-Motech SysBag 30 works great.
