Perun moto BMW F900GS Mini Top Luggage Rack - Installation Instructions

Content of the kit

• 2 x Side bracket (LHS and RHS)

• 1 x Central bracket

• 1 x Mini Top rack plate

• 4 x 20/8.2-13 spacer

• 4 x M8x40 countersunk bolt TX

• 4 x M8 3D countersunk washer

• 2 x M8 safety nut

• 2 x M8 washer

• 4 x M6x20 countersunk bolt 

• 4 x M6 flat washer

• 4 x M6 safety nut

• 2 x M8x25 buttonhead TX

I. Installation of the rack

1. Remove the seat.

2. Remove four bolts on the underside of the tail, marked in red. Make sure all the threads are clean.

3. Lift off plastic cover from the tail. Clean threaded holes, marked in blue, from debris if necessary.

4. Use two M8x25 buttonhead bolts to install Central bracket as shown below. Tighten M8 bolts to 18Nm.

5. Reinstall the plastic cover and the seat. Don't forget to reinstall the four bolts which were removed in step 2.

6. Place one of the spacers between Side bracket and Central bracket. Use M8x40 countersunk bolt, M8 flat washer, M8 safety nut and M8 3D countersunk washer (see photo below for order). Tighten by hand. Repeat on both sides.

7. Place one of the remaining spacers between Side bracket and the bike's frame. Use M8x40 countersunk bolt and M8 3D countersunk washer. Tighten by hand. Repeat on both sides.

Assembly should look as in the photo below. Both Side brackets should have some free play.

8. Use four M6x20 countersunk bolts, M6 flat washers and M6 safety nuts to secure the Mini top plate onto Side brackets.

Make sure everything lines up and tighten the bolts to torque values shown in the photo below.

9 Tighten M6x20 bolts to 6-7Nm.

10. After a few rides check all bolts and re-tighten if necessary.

II. Conversion from Top Luggage Rack - Standard to Mini Top Rack

If you already have our Top luggage rack - Standard installed on the bike, it is easy to convert to Mini Top Rack.

Video instructions:

1. Loosen the M8 bolt marked below. Repeat on both sides.

2. Undo the four M6 bolts marked below and remove the Top plate from Side brackets.

3. Reuse four M6x20 countersunk bolts, flat washers and safety nuts to secure the Mini top plate onto Side brackets.

 5. Make sure everything is centered and tighten the M8 bolts to 18Nm.

6. Complete the installation by tightening the M6 bolts to 6-7Nm.
