2021+ 1290 SAR/701/690* Footstand Enlarger - Installation Instructions

This footstand enlarger (GP-00038) fits 2021+ KTM 1290 SAR, 2019+ KTM 690 Enduro R and SMC-R, 2021+ Husqvarna 701 Enduro and Supermoto, all MY KTM 790/890 Adventure Rally, R and "standard", all KTM 1050/1090/1190/1290 Adventure models R and S, 2013-2020. 

Won't fit on pre-2019 KTM 690 Enduro R / SMC-R. 

Won't fit on pre-2021 Husqvarna 701 Enduro / Supermoto.

Won't fit on 2021 KTM 1290 SAS.

• 1 x Footstand Enlarger Upper (stainless steel),
• 1 x Footstand Enlarger Lower (billet aluminum),
• 5 x M5x16 countersunk bolt,
• 5 x M5 safety nut.

Installation

1. Place the lower part as shown on the photo. 

2. Place the upper part and insert all bolts and safety nuts, as shown below. No need for washers, for lowest possible profile. 

3. Tighten all nuts, in alternating pattern, so lower part meets the upper part. There should be no gap between upper and lower part. Don't overtighten.

4. Finished. 

Note for the owners of 2021+ KTM 1290 SAR - make sure to check the bolts marked on the photo below. Remove them, clean them and apply some thread-locker (Loctite 243 or similar). Re-torque to spec. If they get loose, footstand will rattle and interfere with the swingarm. This is not related to our Footstand enlarger, it can happen on the stock bikes.
