Mosko Moto Reckless 40 is an interesting piece of luggage. Depending on how you prefer to pack, it can serve as a roomy weekend setup, or a minimalist travel option. Whatever the case, it works amazingly with the KTM 390 Adventure R.
Fit on the bike is excellent. Lower part of the side holsters rests on bike's panels which provides plenty of support. Composite base is stiff on its own, so the entire system is stable in all riding conditions.

But how do we fit the bags to the bike? Simple. We first add Perun Moto Top luggage rack, which supports the Gnoblin quick mounting system, and Heel guards with their quick release cutout. After that, mounting the Reckless 40 is a breeze.

With these in place, we attach the Gnoblin to the middle position on the rack. On the Reckless 40 base, the Gnoblin hardware is installed to the middle position as well.

Now it's just a matter of aligning the two Gnoblin pieces and pushing the bags forward.

For those who prefer to use the straps instead of the Gnoblin, our rack does offer slots for these. We made sure the slots are angled correctly to minimize strap loads, while chamfered edges ensure their longevity. We do test mounting and riding with the straps but have no photos to share. Trust my words, it works as intended.

Using the straps gives better control over the exact fore-aft placement of the bags which is one of the clear advantages of that setup.
Lower straps can be secured to passenger foot rest brackets. However, for speed and convenience of their installation, we're using our Heel guards for this task. With their quick release cutout, there is no need to completely remove the strap from the buckle and pull it through the slots each time.
Engage the strap through the buckle to create a loop. When mounting the bags to the bike, simply slide this loop into the quick release cutout on the Heel guards, tighten the strap and you're good to go.

This rounds-up the mounting process. As said, the bags sit firmly in place. The Gnoblin prevents any movement of the upper part and bike's side panels offer generous support.
The entire setup is narrower than the handlebars which is always a bonus.

Grab handles which are incorporated with our Luggage rack remain accessible even with the bags mounted. This is good news for maneuvering the bike or picking it up after a tip-over.

Underside of the R40 base makes next to no contact with the rack. There won't be any hot spots developing on it. Again, always a good thing.

With the OEM silencer mounted beneath the engine, risk of heat damage to the bags is zero. We didn't have the chance to test any of the aftermarket high exhaust systems so can't really give any insights.

All the photos above show the Reckless 40 together with the Stinger 8l tail bag mounted under the beavertail. If you don't need the extra capacity, tail bag can be left at home. For even cleaner setup, beavertail flaps can easily be removed as well. Not that we ever do so, considering how practical a beavertail is.

Compact, stable and quick to mount, the Reckless 40 feels right at home on the KTM 390 Adventure R when paired with Perun Moto luggage accessories.
