Not all rides are about going far, or packing all the stuff you can think of. There are days when you simply want to take the KTM 390 Adventure R for a couple of hours of fun near home. Still, taking first aid kit, basic tools and spare tube is always a good idea. It's easy to put all these thing into a backpack, but not everyone likes to carry weight on their body.
Cue in small saddlebags. In this article we'll take a look at the Mosko Moto Reckless 10 (v2) and show how it works with Perun Moto accessories for the KTM 390 Adventure R.
This is the new, v2 version of the Reckless 10. Major upgrade is the switch to composite harness, the same type used on their larger bags. This also brings the inclusion of pre-drilled holes for installation of The Gnoblin, a game changer when it comes to the speed of mounting the bags onto the bike.
So, how does it all come together? Our Top luggage rack for the KTM 390 Adventure R/X/Enduro was designed with rack-less bags in mind from day one. We made sure to position the holes for the Gnoblin in just the right places.

Using the middle position to bolt the Gnoblin onto our rack, as shown above, puts the bags in optimal position. For me, that means they sit as far forward as possible, without interfering with my riding style. Note that we're using the two spacers to raise the Gnoblin button above the rack. This is highly recommended. If you have an older Gnoblin, shipped without spacers in the box, a simple stack of flat washers will do the trick just as well.
There is only one position for the Gnoblin on the harness of Reckless 10, so that removes any guesswork about tweaking the placement.
Once the Gnoblin hardware is installed onto the rack and harness, it takes seconds to secure the bag onto the bike.

For those who prefer using straps over the Gnoblin, we made sure to include appropriate slots at the rear of our rack. Attaching straps takes a bit longer, but it allows fine tuning of the bag's position. Since all edges of the rack are chamfered and smooth, straps are safe from damage.
With the top part of harness secured, we can now move onto the lower straps. They attach to our Heel guards. One of their neat features is the inclusion of the quick release cutout at the top.

This cutout allows the straps to be attached without being threaded through the slot or the buckle each time.
How to use this feature? Pass the strap through the buckle to create a simple loop. Then slide the strap through the slot on Heel guards and tighten. Voila.

Mounted like this, underside of the Reckless 10 makes no contact with the rack - other than trough the Gnoblin mount. There won't be any hot spots developing over time, which is great news for longevity.

Front of the harness rests on bike's side panel which helps to stabilize the entire setup.

Grab handles, integrated in our Top rack, remain accessible even with the bags mounted. This comes in handy when maneuvering or picking up the bike.

Bags sit stable on the bike, and the entire setup remains very narrow.

Overall, this is a very practical minimalist luggage solution. Thanks to Perun Moto accessories, bags mount to the bike extremely quickly and the fitment is exceptional.
