Our first gen Top luggage rack for the Yamaha Tenere 700 was/is compatible with Givi and Kappa Monokey and SW-Motech top cases. Since we know how convenient a top case can be, second generation of the rack features the same compatibility. The difference? New rack sports beefier side brackets for improved strength.
Monokey mounting hardware (which needs to be obtained from your Givi dealer) installs directly onto the Top rack. Pre-drilled holes make the process super easy. For step-by-step instructions, please check SECTION II of our manual. This results in cleaner looks, but also negates the need to use bulky adapter plates which add mass.

We are using a 46 liter Givi Trekker Dolomiti aluminum top case here. This is a medium sized box, perfect for daily use. It's large enough to fit a full-face helmet.

With the top case installed, the slots on the front side of our rack are still accessible. This is great news if you need to secure something onto the back seat.

Please keep in mind that all of our racks are primarily designed to offer secure attachment point for various rack-less luggage systems out there. This usually means the rack sits lower and further forward than a "road oriented" rack would. Naturally, the top case itself sits more forward.
For single riders this is great news as it helps with mass centralization. If riding with a pillion, keep in mind that there is less room on the back seat. The setup works for riding around the town or for short distances. But, if you need two-up long distance touring setup, this is not it.

Adding a top case to Yamaha Tenere is a simple way to enhance usability of the bike. Givi Trekker compliments the looks of the Tenere very nicely and offers decent amount of space.
