With the recent addition of Gnoblin mounting holes to our Top rack for Yamaha Tenere 700, using their bags from Reckless lineup has become more convenient than ever. Instead of threading straps through slots and buckles each time the bags are installed or removed, mounting now takes just a few seconds.

In this article we'll have a look at how the Reckless 10 v2.0 works on the T700.

The rack offers three mounting positions for the Gnoblin. With the R10, the front hole works the best.

We only recently discovered just how useful the spacers between the rack and the Gnoblin can be. Raising the Gnoblin by around 10 mm helps the composite harness retain its natural curvature, making it noticeably easier to mount the bag and engage the Gnoblin.

For users of the older Gnoblins, just add a stack of four-five flat washers between the rack and the Gnoblin. A longer bolt will be required as well.

For those who still prefer to use the straps, our rack offers slots which are positioned in all the right places. With smoothly chamfered edges, straps are safe from fraying and damage.

As we all know, securing the upper part of a rackless setup is only half the job. The lower straps also need a solid attachment point. On the Tenere 700, our Gen 2 Tie-down Brackets are a perfect complement to the Gnoblin. Thanks to their C-hook quick-release cutout, straps can be attached much faster than with a conventional slot. Hook the strap in, tighten it, and ride.

New, v2.0 Reckless 10 has the same composite harness as the larger bags from the lineup. Protective underside foam on the harness will rub against front edges of our rack. Since this area doesn't experience any load, there is no risk of the harness (or rack) getting damaged.

Mounted like this, the bags stay out of the rider's way. By being small and sitting relatively far back, you won't even know they are mounted.

Large portion of the harness rests on bike's side panels providing all the stability you may ask for.

Size of the Reckless 10 makes these bags a good choice for day rides in any conditions. They provide enough capacity to pack a basic tools, spare tube, first aid kit and some snacks. It's possible to strap additional items to the harness itself, or onto the free portion of the rack.
