Kriega US-20 Drypack on Perun moto Top rack for CF-Moto 450MT / Ibex 450

A simple, reliable tail bag goes a long way for daily riding or road oriented weekend trips when you don't want extra capacity, or to fiddle with rackless bags. Kriega US-20 falls somewhere in the middle of the size range and is super practical. Mounting it onto the Perun Moto Top luggage rack for the CF-Moto 450MT / Ibex 450 is a breeze.

450MT does come with a tail rack from the factory, so there is probably a way to secure this bag onto it. For those who appreciate more streamlined looks and seamless integration with both the bike and the bag, Perun Moto rack might be the way to go.

With dedicated holes for the installation of Kriega OS-Rack loops, it's just a simple bolt on process. Better yet, the OS-Rack loops mount on the underside of our rack, leaving the entire top surface completely flat. This is great news for the material on the bottom of US-20 bag, as there's nothing to rub against it. One note: to mount the OS-Rack loops as shown here, you will need M6x20 or M6x25 countersunk bolts, which are not included with OS-Rack loops or with our rack.

Sliding the Hypalon loops through the slots of the rack makes them easily accessible.

To prevent OS-Rack loops from coming undone, use a drop of mild thread locking agent on each one. Alternatively, add a flat washer and M6 safety nut on the underside.

Once all four OS-Rack loops are installed on our rack, which is a one-time job, mounting the bag is straight forward.

I like to insert the G-hook straps into the loops first. It's important to pay attention to the orientation of the buckles, to avoid twisting the strap when clipping.

Once that's done, place the bag onto the rack and clip in all the buckles. Make sure to pass two of the straps through the roll top loop of the bag. Otherwise, the G-hook straps will go over the buckles and it will be difficult to open and close the bag while it's on the bike.

With all the buckles are clipped in, tighten the straps and secure their loose ends. Keep in mind that this type of strapping works best when the bag is close to being completely full.

For added peace of mind, central strap from the roll-top closure can be threaded through the slot on the side of our rack. This was the main idea behind incorporating that slot into design of the rack. A smaller, US-10 bag is shown in the next photo, but the same can be done with the US-20 as well.

This rounds up the mounting process. With the top rack providing full support for the bag, the US-20 stays firmly in place and the rider doesn't have to think about it, even when terrain gets rough.

The US-20 Drypack is spacious enough to pack first aid kit, tubeless tire repair kit and a small compressor, rain gear and still have room available. Personally, I use the remaining space to pack mirrorless camera with two lenses if I don't feel like carrying them on my body.

This is a reliable and waterproof, decently sized packing solution usable in many different situations. It suits the CF-Moto 450MT beautifully.
