Our large and small billet top racks for the KTM 790/890 Adventure have been around for a while. Both have proven really well over time and we tweaked a thing or two here and there. Back then, strapping the luggage onto the rack was practically the only way of securing it.
Things have changed in that regard in recent years. Quick mounting systems, such as the Mosko moto Gnoblin, have transformed the practicality and speed of luggage installation.
So, we gave both Small and Large billet racks a slight overhaul and they now feature pre-drilled holes for the Gnoblin.
In this article we'll have a look at the fitment and installation of the Mosko moto Reckless 80 V4.0 with the Gnoblin onto our Billet rack Large for the KTM 790/890 Adventure.
Large billet rack offers two positions for the Gnoblin. For the Reckless 80, and my preference, the front one provides better fit.

The front position for the Gnoblin is used on the harness as well.

With the Gnoblin, the top part of the bags is secured within seconds. Not that I ever had problems with using straps, but this option is noticeably quicker.
To secure the lower straps, we're using our Tie-down brackets. Minimalist replacement for passenger footrest brackets which help loose some weight and make for a cleaner looks. Obviously, if you ever take a pillion for a ride, keeping the passenger footrest brackets is a must.

All this creates a very stable luggage setup. Side holsters are supported by the bike's side panels eliminating almost all bouncing. Stiffness of the CURV harness on the v4 Reckless bags also helps in this regard.

Underside of the harness rests slightly on the front edges of our rack. This helps to further stabilize everything.

Even with the Aux-pox mounted to the underside of the right bag, there is some clearance between it and the stock silencer. Heat shouldn't be an issue, but adding a heat shield is still a good precaution.

The bags are positioned as far forward as it makes sense. My personal preference is to push the weight forward. They are completely out of my way when seated. When moving to the rear while standing on the pegs, there will be some contact..

Even with the 22l Stinger bag secured under the beavertail, almost entire surface of our rack remains free. This makes it easy to strap some additional luggage if needed.

This is a truly versatile luggage setup. Adding the Mosko Moto Gnoblin quick mounting system makes installation and removal faster, improving the overall user experience.
